Pepsi has ruffled a couple of feathers recently with their new two and a half minute commercial starring Kendall Jenner and the fight against police brutality. Who knew a simple beverage like Pepsi was the answer to stopping such a huge issue in minority communities? Many people would agree this is not the answer or an appropriate ad for that matter...(for obvious reasons).
In this commercial, it shows Kendall Jenner in a blonde wig doing a photo shoot. Protestors pass by, she wipes off her ruby red lipstick and decides to join them. While protesting, Kendall takes the first step and hands one of the officers a Pepsi, everyone breaks out in cheer the day is saved! So far there has been no response to the backlash from Pepsi or Kendall.
Ferrari Sheppard along with lots of other disgruntled individuals tweeted things along the lines of how capitalism will use anything that is a huge problem in minority communities to make a profit.
